MISSION SUPPORT
Our mission support teams keep St John’s running smoothly.
Property
This team, along with the dedicated attention of our Property and Administration Manager, oversees the maintenance of our facilities. These include the church and chapel, the St John’s Centre, Troup House, Spinks Cottage, and the manse. if you have (or would like to get) experience in dealing with property-related matters, please consider joining our team.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month in the St John’s Church office from 5-6.30pm.

Finance
The finance team manages the financial and administrative functions of St John’s and meets several times a year. We work to ensure funding support for ministry and mission, including educational and outreach programmes, as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the St John’s heritage site.
We are always looking out for new members with financial expertise. If you have bookkeeping, accounting, economic, investment, insurance, or other financial or business skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Outreach
This group ensures that St John’s actively participates in outreach activities both in our local community and further afield. We build ongoing relationships and provide financial support to groups and organisations as we bring our mission to life in practical ways.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved with, let’s talk about how you can contribute. Find out more about our Outreach activities.

Communications
Our role is to serve the mission of St John’s by keeping our community connected with one another and by sharing with the wider city that we are a church alive in Christ and active in service.
Our work includes creating the billboards on Willis Street, maintaining this website, and collating and publishing our annual report, as well as developing brochures, posters and other publicity materials as required.
If you’ve got an interest in writing, website, or graphic design, then please let us know - we’ve got lots of projects you may be able to help with.

Health and safety
Health and safety is all about looking out for each other and ensuring our shared life together is safe, caring, and life-giving. We proactively address potential hazards, improve accessibility, and plan ahead for onsite disruptions.
If you have any health and safety issues or concerns, please let an elder or a member of our ministry team know. They will pass it on to our health and safety officer, Karin Duncan.
